Have you seen some blogs promoting Wordpress datafeed scripts? Such scripts are actually a plugin which you can installed onto your blog and making use of the feature like auto insertion of datafeeds into blogpost with your affiliate ids. But everyone know the down side of such plugin. In this post, I would like to caution you before you swipe your credit card.

Common disadvantages of using a paid plugin:

1. Versioning - Most plugins are developed to suit a particular version of Wordpress Blog. Unless the developer is fast enough, you’ll almost be sure to be left behind. Stuck with a useless script.

2. Wordpress ungrade stalled - My advice is if a certain version of wordpress is working fine together with a golden plugin you bought ( $397 USD), never try to upgrade.

3. Turnaround support - Usually, the owner would be too busy balancing cheque books before they look into your problem. Lack of support is one main disadvantage when you buy plugins.

4. Theme compatitbilty - Some plugin cannot work or simply refuse to work with your super beautifully paid theme. You end up wasting money.

5. Wordpress is dymanic - why? Because there are so many area in WP which already take on a life of it’s own. Anyone can change it to anything they like. I even can get a Wordpress that look 100% like a sales letter theme.

So, next time before you install any plugin, think about the pros and cons. Your hardwork is make up of time and money. Never let it go to waste.
