The Problem

Have you recently upgraded to WordPress 2.3.1? Are you now noticing some side effects? Are you getting errors when you update posts or comments? Have the comments sections disappeared from some of your posts?

A lot of questions I know. Yet these are just some of the questions I have been asked over the last week. Not only that, these are some of the issues I have been faced with over the last week. My Christmas present to myself was a blog that was crashing. I thought I would update the theme and things went from bad to crazy.

I have done a little research and it seems that the upgraded version of WordPress is not backward compatible with a lot of themes nor with many of the popular plugins. Read more…

Let’s face the fact of life – our family members, friends or even ourselves cannot be spare from losing hair. In fact, I am seeing some sign of on myself. Well as we age, hair loss seems to follow right behind. Not too long ago, I was blogging on hair loss on one of my blog. However, I am not an expert and the result – my blog was eventually gone due to my forgetfulness to renew my domain name. Are you free on the 6th Dec 9am, eastern time? My friend Stuart is running a teleseminar with this guy name Andrew Bourland. A little bit about this guy,He got online back in the 1995, about 12 years ago and launches a number of successful online companies.
Besides, he was part of the team that launched Andover.net – a network of technology sites that include SlashDot and Linux.com – in 1996.

Well, most of us know that it went on to a successful IPO in 1999 and was sold to VA Linux for over $1 Billion a year later. I am dying to hear more from him next week. Do join me and my friend on this teleseminar. Nope, I am not interviewing him. But I do hope my question got it to this guy.

First of all thank you for joining our blogger meeting yesterday. Chua, Alan Kang, Jeffrey and Ms. Teng good to see you guys again. The conclusion I get is mixed.  And I know the initial part of getting started have been implemented successfully. You guys need to remember to plan your for your next blog.

So chua, now you know planning is really a very important task. This include the web layout, topics and placement of picture.  Jeffrey, you need to spend some time to continue blogging and do ask us or use the forum. I know it’s a major breakthrough for you from completely “do not know how to use email to a blogger”. I admire his courage.

Ms. Teng, thanks for your supportiveness and do remember to schedule you blog posting as regularly as possible. Alexa is a beast. Ha ha.  I find that your blog is kind of unique. Maybe is due to your engineering background.

Alan Kang, sure I know you’re kind to market our videos. Let’s try to work out something. As I have told you, it’s exclusive to student only. I can come up with a updated version for our international friends.

Finally, we need to thank Mr. Teo and Mr. Peh for organizing this event. See you guys again next month especially to those who didnt turn up. I know some of you are quietly making a small stream of income from clickbank.
