Do you know how well enhanced an inspiring website created with WordPress Plugins can be? WordPress greatly enhances any site with the use of all sorts of plugins. Wordpress offers a nice array of plugins from which to choose. Take for instance the poll plugin, a plugin that is a dexterous feature for interaction with your website.

The first thing you should do before even uploading and installing a plugin is to create a folder for them on your desktop so that the desktop stays cluttered. Then download any of the plugins you require into the desktop folder rather than right on your desktop. You will need to unzip your plugin once it has downloaded. Upload the file to your server. Go to the Cpanel or use a program such as Wsftp to do so.

Upload the chosen plugins from your desktop folder and then place the plugin folder on your server. Look for wp-content/plugins.  Then click upload.

Then go to your WordPress Admin Panel and follow these four steps.

1. Login.

2. Click on Plugins in the main menu.

3. Locate your plugin in the list on the page that popped up.

4. Click Activate.

Keep in mind that some plugins will require more effort. Take for instant that you have decided to install the Marquee plugin; this type of plugin requires more configurations. Configure them by clicking Options as the top of the WordPress window. Click the name of your plugin from those listed as sub-categories to configure it further.

To continuing with the Marquee as an example, enter the text you want to display on the Marquee as well as its direction, width and height and its appearance. Click Marquee It.

If your wordpress site seems to be having a problem after installing a plugin, it does happen from time to time, go to your plugins folder on your server and delete the plugin. This deactivates the plugin, returning your website to normal.
