Time of Giving Has Finally Arrived! | Blogger Holiday Special

November 29, 2007 :: Posted by - cyberboy :: Category - Blogging Culture

dear blogging friend,

How’s your Thanksgiving day? I am sure right after this you be busy preparing your Christmas presents for your loves one and probably spending less time blogging online.

I can see that many bloggers are reading reviews on the latest gadget like the “Ausu EEE” or XBOX latest release game or collecting shopping coupons. Well, add on to your collection starting from Walmart coupons.

I would be planning to get one Sony DCR-DVD108 Handycam Mini-DVD Camcorder. I am serious as I am going on a short holiday with my family.

Nevertheless, I have prepared a second shopping ‘wish list’ for my family members here. (in case I lost my first list)

For my brother, perhaps a Sony PlayStation 3 limited edition with BESTBUY coupons at a great steal.

For my sister, perhaps a unique rose wood Jewel box at ThingsRemembered. I am surprise by their range of coupons available for today!

For my dad, perhaps I will grab a pair of shoes for him since there is a clearance sales going on now at Zappos.

As for my mum, well nothing beats the shopping vouchers from SPAWish.com

That’s all I guess…keeping my list short.

How about you? Do you have a list as well? If you want more coupon, make sure you visit Coupon Chief. Share your list here! Blogger time to wind down next month.

Enjoy your holiday!

Blogging For Fun With Personality Quizzes

November 18, 2007 :: Posted by - cyberboy :: Category - Blogging Culture

Hey everyone,

I am into mood of holiday. How about you taking a fun personality test? Recently, I visited this site, with a number of naughty or nice quizzes. I braved myself to take one of the quizz on Christmas Trivia Quiz. (well, since xmas is just round the corner)

I guess it’s time to brush up and get ready for the holidays and pack some fresh knowledge which I have always been wrong.

There many quizzes that you can take like the ‘dumb test’, to know if you’re totally dumb or the ‘Intelligence quiz’ to know if you’re a smarty. Blogger out there, you can always challenge your blog visitor to beat your score using the quizz test method. This is more fun.

Okay, since the holiday is here, I would give the 9th commenter to this post a free silver dount. How about that? A backlink from a Page Rank 4 site. Your link will be up till the next Christmas. So hurry send me more of your comment!

If you’re game enough to take the quiz, hop on down to Quizrocket – Christmas quiz.

Oops, I am only scoring 44% right. How about you? Post Your Score Here.

Blogging a World Wide Culture of Words

July 28, 2007 :: Posted by - cyberboy :: Category - Blogging Culture

Today’s culture is one of the most powerfully expressive in history, as writers all over the world, harness the power of blogging, even though there are unrelenting arguments, whether or not the technology of today is destroying the basics of literature.

For instance, look around yourself, at this very moment you are in process of reading these words, which are hosted online, the internet is a medium, which is thoroughly occupied by many words. You can find just about anything online from literary classics to the lyrics of the newest hip-hop music, and so much more.

Keep in mind that today there are many writers who blog just because everyone else in the online world seems to be blogging, it is just something that you do. A great many author’s keep blogs and websites to expand their connection with their readers. However, writer’s can find a new way to grow by taking one step back and taking a different point of view when it comes to looking at technology, one that is a means of leading their own fan club if they so choose.

What is Blogging?

A web log, nicknamed a blog, is an online diary of sorts that has reached a mind numbing online number of over five million blogs in the past few years. A blog is one of the best and quickest ways to share your information online. You will find that blogging services feature blogging software, which is a great help to you while building your own full functioning web page, without even the slightest bit of knowledge concerning how to design or maintain a web site. When you use them, you do not have to worry about anything but your writing.

Since blogs are arranged in a journal type sequence of formatting, readers can easily catch up on everything that is shared in an online journal such as a blog. It is simply really, all you have to do is enter the information that you want to publish in a form which is provided, then click the publish button and the blogging software automatically, does the rest for you, from creating a new blog entry to archiving your past entries.

Although, today there are a good many companies that do provide blog, the very best blogging service is Blogger.com, which is a free Google service. You can create a blogging account with them and you are free to create as many blogs there as you need or want.

What should you Blog about?

The purpose of blogging is to get your writing out there on the World Wide Web so it seen, read and loved. An online writer must include something of themselves in their writing, just like at any other time, and is very important in online writing as well. By allowing your own personal style and personality shine forth so that your readers can see who you are behind the words you leave for them to study.

Other than that, you are free to blog about anything that holds your interest. You should however, come up with a theme for your blog, to make you life easier. For instance, if you had a regular column in your favorite magazine or newspaper, what would it focus on? Consider your blog like you would a regular paper column, one that will need updating on a regular basis, whether it is daily, weekly or monthly. You blog should contain your thoughts as well as any relevant themed information, centered by a constant flow of data which will bring your reader always coming back for more.
